Butler grading policy
Welcome to Mrs. Morris' (formerly Ms. Sockaci) Weebly Page! Here you will find important information for Biology and Oceanography for the 2015-2016 school year!
Looking forward to an exciting new year! Please read below about the new Canvas online learning portal - we will be using Canvas at times during the semester for online work. Also, to stay updated on due dates, etc., please sign up for Remind - pertinent information can be found at the bottom of this page.
Biology Parents --> please take the parent survey!

Canvas: An Online Learning Portal
This year, CMS is transitioning to Canvas, an online learning platform where students will be able to access Class materials, PowerPoints, Note Outlines, view grades, communicate with their teachers, and do many other things! Canvas blends Google Classroom with Weebly/Moodle/Blackboard to create a one-stop, "get everything/do everything you need to do" website. Students will be trained in how to access Canvas, and that information will be posted here when I have more details.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
REMIND: Want to stay updated on notifications from Mrs. Morris? Remind (formerly Remind 101) allows Mrs. Morris to send all registered users a notification about upcoming assignments or due dates via text message. Parents and students are welcome to sign up!
For Biology, text @butlerbio to 81010
For Oceanography, text @ocean215 to 81010
***you must include the "@" when you send your text***
Classroom Needs:
If you are interested in making a donation to our classroom, gift cards in small amounts to a grocery store or department store (ie. Target) would be greatly appreciated! In each science class, I must purchase materials throughout the year for labs and activities that I feel greatly enhance student learning. These include (but are not limited to!) potatoes, eggs, soda, salt, ziploc baggies, craft supplies and more! ANY amount you could donate would be GREATLY appreciated, and I assure you that materials purchased will be for classroom use only! Thank you in advance!
We need paper towels! (Science is messy!) Please donate a roll if you can!
