Hello!
Here you can find some professional and personal information about me!
I grew up on a farm north of Pittsburgh, PA, and I graduated from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, OH with a Bachelor's in Life Science Education. I spent 2 years after college working at the National Enrichment Facility in Eunice, NM. This facility uses centrifuge technology to enrich uranium, and it provides that enriched uranium to over 25% of the country's nuclear power plants! I helped develop training materials and keep track of the paper data for the Engineering department.
After working in New Mexico, I moved back to Pittsburgh, PA and substitute taught science and math while earning my M.Ed. from the University of Pittsburgh. In 2013, I moved to Charlotte, NC after receiving an offer to teach Oceanography and Biology at Butler High School.
I'm so excited to be living in the beautiful state of North Carolina and to be sharing my passion for science with my students!
